Soft Robotics Privacy Policy

Soft Robotics Inc. (“Company,” “we,” or “us”) respects the privacy of our users. This Website Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes our privacy practices concerning information collected in connection with the company website, and online services located at (the “Services”).

This Policy is intended to explain the conditions under which Soft Robotics collects, uses, and discloses personal and other information in connection with the Services, and your rights in relation to that information. By visiting our website and/or using the features made available to you on the Services, you are agreeing to the terms of this Policy.

The personal and other information that we collect about you is controlled by Soft Robotics. As described in the section below, entitled “Information for Users from Outside the United States,” the information that we collect through or in connection with the website may be transferred to and processed in the United States.

What personal and other information we collect about you

We collect both “personal information” and “other information” about users. For purposes of this Policy, “other information” is information that we cannot directly associate with a specific person without the aid of additional information. By contrast, “personal information,” is information such as a name or email address that we can directly associate with a specific person or entity without additional information. When we combine other information with personal information, we treat all of the combined information as personal information.

Personal information. You can visit the website without submitting any personal information. However, if you choose to use certain features on the website or the Services, you will be required to provide personal information. Such information could include, for example, your name, email address, date of birth, telephone number, postal address, resume information including educational and employment history.

We may combine personal information collected through the Services with other information that we or third parties collect about you in other contexts—such as our communications with you via email or phone, or your customer service records. We will treat such combined information as personal information and protect it in accordance with this Policy.

Other information. We also collect other information through the Services. Such information may be collected passively using variously technologies. We may use such information to track, for example, your usage of website or Services. Other information may be collected in the following ways:

Log data. When you use the Services, we automatically receive and record certain information from your computer (or other device) and your browser. This may include such data as your IP address and domain name, the pages you visit on the Services, the date and time of your visit, the files that you download, the URLs from the websites you visit before and after navigating to the Services, your software and hardware attributes (including device IDs), your general geographic location (e.g., your city, state, or metropolitan region), and certain cookie information (see below). To obtain such information, we may use web logs or applications that recognize your computer and gather information about its online activity

Cookies. We also use cookies on the Services. Cookies are small files that are stored on your computer by your web browser. A cookie allows the Services to recognize whether you have visited before and may store user preferences and other information. For example, cookies can be used to collect information about your use of the Services during your current session and over time (including the pages you view and the files you download), your computer’s operating system and browser type, your Internet service provider, your domain name and IP address, your general geographic location, the website that you visited before the Services, and the link you used to leave the Services. If you are concerned about having cookies on your computer, you can set your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being set, allowing you to decide whether to accept it. You can also delete cookies from your computer. However, if you choose to block or delete cookies, certain features of the Services may not operate correctly. Detailed information about the cookies used by Soft Robotics is available here.

Soft Robotics may link information gathered using cookies and web beacons with personal information. But in that event, we will treat the combined information as personal information.

We also may use the personal and other information to communicate with you. For example, if you have given us your email address, we may send you newsletters, marketing emails and promotional communications, including emails about products and services offered by us or our partners. We partner with certain third parties to collect information for the purpose of engaging in analysis, auditing, research, and reporting on the Services and to understand the effectiveness of our advertising and email marketing.
